Mar 09, 2020· Here's the problem: When you are drilling a hole and it "switches gears" (audible difference in engine speed, i.e. going full bore) in the middle of the hole, it stalls. It then takes a few pulls to get it started again. This happens in every hole and at the same time, just after the engine kicks into overdrive.

Dec 23, 2010· Just watch how all the linkages move as you move the throttle lever. If all of this is free, there is an idle stop screw on the side of the carb. You will see where this screw contacts the throttle shaft lever on the carb. Just turn the stop screw out counter clockwise about 1/4 turn. This should solve the problem. Harry.
